Being both a photographer and writer has its unique challenges for sure.  However, having the discipline to watch the horizon for hours or wait for just the right movement of a bird or fox or other larger mammal is as exciting to me as starting a new manuscript.

My photography is bold and at times colorful.  We do not use Photoshop or add or remove anything from the frames except for an occasional blemish.  We do, on occasion, push the light or color a bit within the camera itself to bring out the desired object or create the mood.  All of my work is deeply rooted in the outdoors and on the seas.  Places I certainly feel more comfortable and at home with than my former office of 35 years.
